About Us

Who are we?

We are a Wiltshire/Gloucestershire-based choir formed in 2004. We rehearse in Wootton Bassett, near Swindon, and a number of our concerts take place in the beautiful St Bartholomew's Church in the town. We are available to sing at office parties, weddings, christenings, funerals and other functions, within the Wiltshire / Somerset / Gloucestershire area.

Why Dodecantus?

Our name is a mixture of Greek ("dodeca", meaning 12) and Latin ("cantus", meaning singing). Although there were originally 12 of us, we can now number up to 16, depending on the occasion. We like to keep our numbers small to ensure we create something very special and intimate whenever we perform.

Our musical purpose

We aim to achieve the very highest standards, but at the same time to cultivate a friendly, informal atmosphere, forging a bond with our audience, without whom no performance is complete. For more information on us and our past and future concerts, visit the Concerts and Tours page.

If you'd like to find out more about hiring us for your special occasion, please contact Zelda Lawrence-Curran on 01367 252665, or Tim Lewis, on 01672 539607
